The course provides mass-quantities of singletrack. There's so much singletrack you might actually seek something wider after a while. Moreover, about the only non-singletrack sections of the 21-mile-one-lap race are the short start road, a few yards of asphalt, and that is it. And not only is it singletrack, it’s freaking majestic singletrack.
This year the Middle Mountain Momma has been selected as a qualifier race for the Kenda US Cup national mountain bike series. The US Cup blah blah blah
For 14 years the Middle Mountain Momma has been providing a singletrack fix for mountain bikers in the mid-Atlantic and beyond. Douthat State Park. "Mountain biker's Disneyland" we call it. It's like riding your mountain bike on a very, very long roller coaster. If that roller coaster had gut busting climbs, that is. Cause Douthat does.
